The Mainstreet Caboodle is nearly here!
As always, its on the Saturday of Wellington Anniversary Weekend and is a part of the Bayleys Whanganui Vintage Weekend Festivities.
Once again the Caboodle will run for over 14 hours within the town centre – encompassing entertainment, music, food, fashion, vintage motor vehicles & steampunk all in a vintage themed extravaganza.
The day sees live entertainment: music & fashion shows via 3 stages, street performers throughout the Mainstreet, a family zone, vintage / classic vehicles lining the street, street food vendors, steampunk enthusiasts, a vintage market and so much more.
The evening comes to life with more live music via the mainstage, a themed dinner & a 'Swanky Caboodle After-Party'.
There is truly something for everyone at the iconic Mainstreet Caboodle!
Keep an eye on our Facebook Page for all the details!
Mainstreet Whanganui are thrilled to be hosting the team from Poihakena Portraits at Caboodle this year.
They photograph families, couples and children wearing kapa haka style costumes and kakahu. Moko stamps and taonga are provided for those who want them.

This Portrait experience can be a step on the path for those looking for the way back to Te Ao Maori, and a way to connect with their heritage. Seeing themselves in Maori kakahu can be a new experience for many of our whanau, and a powerful experience for those of non Maori descent.
